My pieces convey what is photography and what is photomanipulation. I took a photograph with a flash, a pressure sensor and a lightbulb. Using these materials I took several exposures in one frame. I could have done this with Photoshop but that would take all the fun out of making it in camera. Manipulations I did for my pieces is the same mutilations you can do in the darkroom.

There are things that we never see in the moment like a funny face on a tennis player or the Prince Rupert's drop exploding. For my final I want to take one of these moments and Manipulate it and then print it out. If you guys know any high-speed big prints you want to see let me know.

anxiety

    I did a representation of what my blog would look like an art gallery inside of minecraft.I wanted to have my past blogs inside of the gallery with a artist statements. Not writing a artist statement give me anxiety so one I did write the next artist statement it snowballed and I didn't want to do a artist statement because of the anxiety they gave me. Every time I tried to write a artist statement I would get halfway done and it would've been up to 12 hours later. That sounds like a long time but it was me doing other things and trying to write an artist. I would sit down and write a sentence and then find something on Facebook or YouTube and not realizing it it would be a half hour later before I got mine at next sentence. Another factor that stop me from finishing my artist statement is a eating disorder I've been dealing with. I have gallstones and if I eat too much food like Taco Bell I'll get stabbing pains right at the bottom of my right rib cage. After going to the hospital to find out what this pain is I stopped eating food stop the pain.after losing 35 pounds I could eat food without really getting sick.So I started binging. I would sit down and try to write something then for no apparent reason I get up and go eat food until I almost vomit.so doing my blog inside of minecraft sound like an easy way of getting over the hurdle of writing an artist statement but still there is no artist statement inside of this minecraft world. So I guess and say that I was a victim of this always connected society were living in where North Korea and cat videos somehow become better than trying to write an artist statement.
   the message I wanted to convey was that you can create the art gallery at the bottom of the cavern and that you can have whatever you want like. it's impractical to making our gallery at the bottom of the cavern but in this virtual space I can do it and if no problem and it doesn't seem out of place.

1.one of the biggest consequences is we loose the conception of death. In games like COD, BF,and MOH to kill someone is no more or less than playing tag but to know, when you are looking down the sights of a gun and about to pull the trigger , you are going to change history is something you will not learn playing tag.

2.technology will always change so the way we make and experience art will always change but to appreciate because of a new median is the something we have been doing since the dawn of time.

This is a map from Ovalwood fourth floor. It's a United States map and the map has pinpricks in it.These pinpricks are made by passing students. There a lot of pinpricks around the Columbus area. This makes me wonder if a pinprick is somebody's wish or random ignorance.

vlogbrothers

This piece is to represent a community this community nerdfighteria and four of its biggest members are John and Hank Green, Esther Earl, and Emily Graslie.On January 1, 2007 Hank Green posted the first vlogbrothers video and in this video he explained that he wanted to make a new kind of brothership "brotherhood 2.0". This brotherhood would be between him and his brother, a well published author.For the next year they only communicate with video blogs and possibly phone calls. There are consequences if the brother does not post a video on a weekday.This constant video communication between the two brothers created a community that viewed their conversations everyday.One of the biggest and most interactive person and their  vlogs was a user named cookie4monster4. Cookie4monster4 happen to be a girl trapped at home because of cancer. Her real name was Esther Earl. Esther means star so her parents and her creative the foundation this star won't go out. On August 25, 2010 Esther Earl passed away but the memory and it works live on through nerdfighteria. Emily Graslie is a curator at Zoological Museum At the University of Montana. Hank Green visited the museum one day to do video for vlogbrothers. Emily was so good on camera he wanted to create a YouTube channel just for all the things they do at Museum.
       Now that the explaining is kind of out of the way and get more to the meaning of the piece. John is a author and he has published many books.The most recent is the fault in our stars.the main character in the book Hazel Grace has characteristics that hint the late Esther Earl. Esther Earl's charity sells bracelets on John's website. The anglerfish is a inside joke about John signature and how his J looks like a anglerfish. The anglerfish is pointing to Emily and Emily Deals with exotic animals. John's book has to do with critically ill kids and Esther was a critically ill kid. The bracelets represent hope for a cure and John wants to end when he calls worldsuck.The poster is of a painting made by a 16-year-old boy in the Philippines and then turned into a poster by a girl in Norway and Now the poster is sold on John's website. the poster is a representation of Hazel Grace, which is loosely based off of Esther, and Augustus Waters in Sweden. The poster is made by nerdfighteria and would not exist if it wasn't for vlogbrother.John wanted to create a curse word that was not bad so he came up with French the llama. French the llama would't be a saying it wasn't for vlogbrothers.the star is the symbol for this star won't go out which is a charity.  The project for awesome gathered money and distributes it to the top five charities that get the most videos made by the community. sci show is the educational YouTube channel. Sci show covers interesting things in science which is one of the reasons Hank went to go see Emily.Emily has a degree in the arts and loves photography. The bird skeleton is one of her pictures on her website. it's one of the reasons Hank was drawn to her. Emily was on sci show with Hank and they talked about the white fox which is also the gray fox. The color of the Fox the coat depends on their claimant.Hank and Emily wouldn't be able to make videos for the brain scoop if it wasn't for donations coming from the vlogbrothers community. Something that almost everyone has seen as a dissected wolf and it wouldn't be available if John didn't agree to do vlogs with his brother.James Webb Space Telescope inspires nerdfighters to don't forget to be awesome and dream big. 
           The black background doesn't represent emptiness .It represents the connections that the viewer has not created yet and the more they understand vlogbrothers the more connections the viewer can make.I got all the pictures from the web. By using pictures from the web they came out squared, cut off in some places. The statement I'm trying to get across is that there is a connection between all these pieces and it's a collection inside jokes, stories and fates .

this part of me

      I made this piece of the beginning of a relationship that became toxic. I wanted to represent things that brought us together but ironically the things in this picture tore us apart. it's nice to be able to have the time evolve my feelings of the peace.
       The headphones in the grass were supposed to for percent my and hers love of music.but now they represent the difference in our taste of music. She is in to oldies and hippie music. I'm into country and pop.you wouldn't think having two different tastes in music would tear up friendship but between us it did. She couldn't understand that just because I don't like something doesn't mean I hate it or cannot appreciate it.
      Normal written on the wrist of the girl in the piece. Normal is something different for the two of us. It's normal for me to make a joke and think nothing of it but for her she will take offense to it.For me it's normal to shower everyday but she can go a week before she needs a shower.
      There is a no smoking sign in the strap of the backpack.We are both straightedge. You left don't smoke, drink or do drugs but to be cool she tells her parents that she smokes weed. I have always believed that you should always be yourself and I think it's a shame that she has to say something like that to fit in.
      There is also a raindrop in the bottom corner.In the raindrop you can see the trees outside of ovalwood. This is to represent who she really is, a inverted and distorted image that she won't show to the world.
    The final and the most detrimental picture, in the piece ,to our relationship is the lens in her hair.When I first put the lens in this piece is really didn't have the meaning to me but now ironically it takes on a horrible meeting. We are both on the prom committee and our biggest argument to date is about either having a photo booth or a photographer at prom. I know it's kind of selfish but I really wanted to be the photographer and have it set up like a studio so I could have fun and shoot fun, laybacked and playful pictures. I guess when she thought of a photographer she was thinking more of something like school pictures, something very generic. Having the opportunity to do a photo shoot with everyone at prom is something I really want for prom. I know would be fun for everyone. So I shot down just about every time she brought up the idea of having a kiosks like Photo Booth for prom.I didn't mean for it to come off as controlling but I couldn't really see why having a photo booth would be better. In my mind it takes a lot of time, manpower, and money to get a photo booth in the game room of the union and it doesn't seem as fun to me. She really felt like I steamrolled her and everyone else on this conversation. Which was the final nail in the coffin for relationship.
